Joshua Freedman is a lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, called to the bar in June 2017. He currently operates his own practice, Joshua Freedman Law, where he defends individuals facing criminal charges, regulatory prosecutions, and professional misconduct allegations.

Alongside his practice, Joshua is completing a Doctorate in Law (PhD) at Queen's University, where his dissertation examines the Ontario Court of Appeal and sentencing law under the supervision of Professor Benjamin Ewing. He also holds an LLM from the University of Toronto with a thesis on expert evidence in Canadian law.

His career spans Crown prosecution, regulatory enforcement, private defence, and academic research — providing him with a rare, multi-dimensional perspective on the Canadian justice system.
